A Phase 3 Randomized Double-blind Study of Adjuvant Pembrolizumab With or Without V940 in Participants With Resectable Stage II to IIIB (N2) NSCLC not Achieving pCR After Receiving Neoadjuvant Pembrolizumab With Platinum-based Doublet Chemotherapy (INTerpath-009)
This research study is testing if adding a new vaccine treatment called V940 to the usual immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab can help stop lung cancer from coming back after surgery in patients with Stage II to IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have had chemotherapy and pembrolizumab before surgery but still have some cancer left (did not achieve a complete response).
Immunotherapy: The immune system helps fight cancer by sending the body's defense (immune) system to kill the cancer cells. Immunotherapy drugs target cancer cells to prevent them from multiplying and growing. |
Non-small cell lung cancer: A type of lung cancer with non small cells that grow too much and can spread to other parts of the body |
